“Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.“
Safe Babies works to transform child welfare practice into the act of strengthening child and family well-being.
We support parents and caregivers experiencing extreme hardships, helping prevent the need for babies and toddlers to enter the child welfare system. Our goal is to keep families together whenever possible.
With the aim of building greater awareness and more support for this critical program, we established a new, simplified name and brand identity:
Safe Babies. The program’s new brand identity puts babies at the center and shines with positive, affirming and family focused language that represents forward movement and growth. Through Safe Babies’ unique, team-based approach, our network of more than 129 sites across 30 states ignites collective action to strengthen families and meet the urgent needs of babies and toddlers.
Safe Babies provided technical assistance to 10,486 providers, court personnel and community partners to improve and deepen their support of children and families in the child welfare system.
Safe Babies received a Stakeholder Empowerment and Partnership Award from the Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs (AMCHP) for exceptional programs that have demonstrated innovation.
Safe Babies granted funding to 12 states to support program implementation and sustainability: Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Utah and Washington.
